Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is additional funding for all publicly funded schools in England and Wales to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. In 2014 the DfE announced that every child who has left Local Authority Care because of Adoption, Special Guardianship Order, Child Arrangements Order or Residence Order is entitled to Pupil Premium Plus(PPP).
As an Independent School we only receive Pupil Premium+ if it is decided so by the individual LocalAuthority. We have a small number of Local Authorities who do allocate PP+ and others who do not.
As a result, we have decided that in line with our ‘bottom up’ approach all funds will go towards sensory integration assessments and resources and any additional costs will be absorbed by the school in order for all children to receive this essential support.
